Golang Job: Staff Software Engineer

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Golang), Fraud (f/m/d) to join our Fraud Squad in the Global Data Tribe.

The Fraud Squad that you’ll be joining delivers a variety of products to prevent incentive and claims abuse (vouchers, discounts, refunds etc). It consists of engineers, data scientists, identity and fraud experts working together on the fraud prevention platform.

Working with us you will deliver data products on a global scale (50+ countries), and get experience in a multi-cloud production environment on AWS and GCP.

You will get domain expertise on the Fraud topic, work closely with data scientists and gain data science knowledge.

Your typical day will vary. One day you will align with data scientists on the payload changes in API or on new streams to be consumed for additional data points of the ML model. Another day you will make changes in the rule engine for business stakeholders to be able to create new rules.

Your mission:

This role offers a unique opportunity to innovate and improve Delivery Hero’s fraud detection and prevention. You will:

• Develop and deploy end-to-end Fraud Prevention Service with rule-based and ML components.

• Promote software systems design principles and a general problem-solving mindset in our engineering teams.

• Be data-oriented, assess the impact of features, form hypotheses and implement new solutions.

• Taking care of infrastructure and delivering highly available services to production.

Your heroic skills:

• A true team player with mentoring and inspiring experience.

• Strong production grade experience in Go.

• Experience in architectural design of reliable large-scale applications.

• Experience in building resilient and fault-tolerant high throughput APIs.

• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and noSQL). (You should be aware of normal forms, ACID, isolation levels, index anatomy).

• Experience using cloud provider platforms (AWS or GCP).

Nice to have:

• Experience working in a multi-cloud environment.

• DevOps/ DataOps experience (Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD).
